the wolves of willoughby chase

This story is written by Joan Aiken.

In this story, two girls, Sylvia and Bonnie lived in a big house called Willoughby Chase. Sylvia  is an orphan, she was sent to live with her aunt Jane.Aunt Jane was becoming old and weak,so Sylvia was sent to live with her cousin Bonnie.

They had a governess called Mrs. Slighcarp,  who was very evil. Sir Willoughby Green, (Bonnie’s father) was the richest man in five countries. Mrs Slighcarp, was his distant cousin and she wanted all his wealth. Bonnie’s mother, the Lady Green, was very sick, so she and her husband went on a trip to regain her health. Then Bonnie was told that the ship her parents were travelling in had sunk. Read to find out what happens next.

This story shows not only that good triumphs over evil; also that what money does to  people. It is edible for readers of all age.  Very good!!!
